Earl Ofari Hutchinson is a journalist, author, and broadcaster. Hutchinson is also the author of nine books about the African American experience. He serves as the President of the National Alliance for Positive Action, and is a contributor to The Huffington Post, Blacknews.com and Blackamerica.web.com. He is an associate editor of New America Media.
He regularly contributed to the weekly Guardian in the decade before it folded (1992).

His father, Earl Hutchinson Sr., is the lead author of A Colored Man's Journey Through 20th Century Segregated America.
Hutchinson has taken part in the controversy about Pope Pius XII and the Holocaust, accusing the former pontiff of being complicit in the crimes of the Nazis.
