Ingredients

1½ lb. - ground chuck

1 c. - frozen chopped onion

2 Tbsp. - cornstarch

1 pkg. - Lipton Onion-Mushroom soup mix

1/8 tsp. - rosemary leaves

3 generous dashes - Worcestershire sauce

14½ oz. can - peel diced tomatoes, chopped

1 can - beef broth OR 1¼ c. water
-
1 c. - frozen peas
-
5 c. - Leftover mashed potatoes, approx. –OR–

1 8 oz. pkg. - Idahoan Original Mashed Potatoes, prepared according to package directions –OR–

1 pkg. - Oreida frozen mashed potatoesaccording to package directions

½ c. - grated cheddar cheese (more or less)
Directions
Brown beef with onions; drain fat. Add cornstarch, soup mix, and rosemary; stir well. Add Worchestershire sauce, tomatoes amd beef broth. Heat until the mixture thickens. Add peas. Pour into greased 3-qt. casserole.
Add a layer of grated cheddar cheese.
Prepare potatoes, if necessary. Spread mashed potatoes over meat filling in casserole.
Bake covered at 350°for 40 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
TIME-SAVER: Make a double batch of meat filling in advance and freeze half for a quick meal another time.
