This book is the collection of three novellas, Eating Mammals, The Possession of Thomas-Bessie, The Donkey Wedding at Gomersal, follows a rather grotesque style. The writing was enjoyable and well formatted. A flying cat, a man who eats furniture, and addictive pork pies are all worked into startling fairy tale type stories that are intriguing and entertaining. May be a bit off-putting, for some, with the occasional scene of eating challenges that beat your average Fear Factor show or animal cruelty, but I'd definitely recommend it to those who can tolerate a bit of well-placed gore.
