I was not prepared to like this book, but by the end of the first chapter I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I loved the intermingle of themes in this book--and it has it all...romance, deceit, some time-travel, murder, corruption. Lots of twists and turns that were unexpected and kept me reading "just one more chapter before I have to..." You know how it is! Good stuff!

My mother, niece and I all read this one and we all agree that it was a great book. I loved the whole set up: a current day mystery connected to past life events with some of the book taking place in the here and now and the rest taking place in the past. The main character kept being dragged into the past for short periods of time and it was because of this that she was able to figure out what happened in the present and the past and set things right again. Reminiscent of 'The Mirror' one of my all time favorite books.

2nd book of Grady's that I've read. I like her style of writing where she switches back between the past and present to make the story. Enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more from Grady.

Lots of suspense, in this book. It didn't end like I wanted it to, but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
