Edit My Public Header

This header information will be seen at the top of your bookshelf and will be publicly viewable by fellow browsers.
Note: If you are using this header to advertise a deal on your bookshelf, you MUST ask the requestor to PM you to discuss the deal. This prevents confusion.

Just happened to be looking at my bookshelf getting reading to re-post a book and noticed this link. Is it new?

Someone have an example?

No, it's always been there. I have changed mine off and on, right now it's just saying add an unpostable and refer to my profile.

I have not seen it before. Seems obvious. If someone wants a deal, they are going to have to tell you what they want through PMs.

From What's New:

Bookshelf Header

Introduced 9/3/2008.

The Bookshelf Header allows you to add a custom, publicly-viewable message at the top of your PBS Bookshelf.  You can introduce yourself - give an overview of the types of books you have -  comment about a specific book you have Posted - invite members to join your Game in the Games Forum - or just say Hello!

I added a blurb about deals to mine long ago.  I can't remember exactly what it says, but click on my bookshelf if you want to see it.

Shirley it has been there for a long time. I have used it in the past just can't remember when or what I had in it.

OK, now that I know about this and added something. How do I turn it off, for future reference? Thanks for posting this question.

How do I turn it off

Go to My Account / My Bookshelf. Click the Edit My Public Header button. Delete whatever text is in there and click Save.

Thanks Cathy,

I feel so dumb ... what a logical way of doing it. Sometimes I can't figure out the easiest things.
