Hi!  I'm new here and made a posting mistake on one of my books... I posted the wrong book cover photo.

When I try to edit it to replace with the correct cover photo, I'm not able to and the notation under the current photo states "awaiting approval."

Just wondering if there's any way to edit, or if I have to wait for the administrator to receive it and respond?

Thanks for your help!

All cover photos are reviewed by volunteers.  The volunteers are marked with either the logo "BIA"  Book Image Approver or "BI"  Book Image Group.  I'm not sure how to contact them directly.  But it is not the PBS contact folks down in the corner.

We review the image to make sure the ISBN you uploaded the image against that the  title/author meet the PBS database.  It will be denied upon review if it doesn't match the database.  I will also send you a PM.

We all make mistakes posting images once in a while, Carolyn.  We can't post a second image until the first image is no longer "pending approval".  Once it has been approved or denied, then we can post a new one.  If it's been denied, then the "upload image" button will still be there under the blue icon on the book's info page.  If the incorrect image was approved, you can upload a new one by going down to the bottom left corner of any page.  Under "my account" click on  "member tools", and then choose "upload book covers."  (You can submit up to 5 images at a time there.)

You can also post a replacement image on the book data edit page, which you'll find on the book's info page, under "more options."  But if you do it there, you're through once you've hit the "upload" button.  Don't hit the "submit edits" button at the bottom of that page unless you are also editing the book's data.

Normally, if we submit an image to a listing where there's a blue "no image available" icon showing, the new image will show up pretty quickly after approval.  But it usually take longer (even up to 2 or 3 weeks) for a replacement image to appear, depending on where the current image is being stored.

And thanks for submitting images -- it's a good way to contribute to the site, and to make your bookshelf more attractive.
