The above message is one I received whilst adding a book to my WL, but I was looking at the Book Browser showing 10 different editions of the book on the first page alone, I imagine there are more on the following pages. So why this message?

I'm guessing it might be the difference between adding the book to my WL from the Browser page to adding it to my WL from the book description page itself, which is how I usually add books to my WL.

Is that it?

The book in question is Kate Morton's The House at Riverton.

You get that message when the book you are wishing for is not linked to any other editions. I think the only way to get a book linked to other editions is to contact PBS to do so. There are vast numbers of books not linked...just this morning I found an available edition of a book that I was wishing for by clicking on the author's name. I routinely go thru my WL, clicking on author's names, and find available books. If they are not linked, "Similar To" PMs are not sent.

Often it starts with differences or misspellings in the actual title or THE AUTHOR'S NAME -- .  Then even when/if the listings are edited, the 'link' doesn't always pick it up, so a note needs to be sent to Admin via Contact Us.

Author names seem to me to be the biggest culprit ..  E.g.  "Emily Jane Doe vs. Jane Doe vs. E. J. Doe, etc..  "

When I clicked on one of the book description pages for this book, then wished from there, I had 18 editions from which to select.
