I was just trying to print a wrapper with postage and got a message that said "we're sorry electronic postage is currently not available for this address" and I am guessing it's the address I am mailing to as I have used only electronoc postage so far and not had this message before, so is this a common thing to come across and is there a reason for why some address are this way?

Hi Maudavee. I've run across a few instances of this; sometimes there are just 'hiccups' with the system PBS relies on for printing postage. From the Help Center doc "FAQs about Printable Postage":

I am getting the message "electronic postage cannot be used for this address".  What does this mean?

  • This message "electronic postage is currently not available for this address" is an error message from endicia.com, our online postage provider, and often it just goes away if the sender tries again to print after a few minutes.
  • If the address is not validated by USPS,  you will also see the above message.  In the case of an invalid address, the requestor can go to this site  to try to find the "validated" form of his or her address.  Printed postage can't be used to send a package to an address that has not been validated by USPS.

I assure you that if the problem persists, it will be looked into as soon as possible, so the best I can suggest is patience and persistence. Hope that helps a little :)

I had one address that wouldn't be "found".. it was an apartment... so I tried the street address without the apartment number and it worked... so I printed it that way and then added the apartment number once the label printed.
