After I read the Night Huntress series, I tried to find similar books by reading paranormal romance books but found them lacking in action, horror, suspense, etc. So then I went urban fantasy but missed the romance aka relationships between two of the characters. I find some paranormal romance books very good and the same goes for urban fantasy. Nevertheless, there has not been many books were there is a two character pairing that endures multiple books in the series such as Elena and Clay (Women of the Otherworld series) and Cat and Bones.

Any suggestions?

How about:

Cin and Michael from Cin Craven series by Jenna MacLaine (Wages of Sin, Grave Sins, Bound by Sin)

Anna and Charles from Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs (prequel in On the Prowl, Cry Wolf, Hunting Ground)

Cin and MIchael, you gave me a reason to finally read those books. I have them, just haven't left my TBR pile. I've done Anna and Charles!

Thanks!

Kitty and Ben are from Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville series.

I like Jaz and Val from Jennifer Rardin's series.

And I'm only on the second book in the Rachel Vincent Pride series, but I like Faythe and Marc!  And I'm obsessed with these books, I can't seem to put them down once I pick them up.

I've just read the 1st Kitty and Lily books and really liked them (I'll have to dig through Mt. TBR for the other books, ugh)!  I'm really glad Mercy is with Adam; I think he'll be good with/for her. Although, Alpha/Omega is my fav Briggs series!

You guys know you are ruining some of the romantic suspense of some of these books if people haven't read them... For example Mercy doesn't pick her guy till way later in the series.

I'm having a tough time coming up with what you are looking for...and while I love many of the series above I think you might be frustrated with them because they are UF and the tease and the build up take a really long time... hm.. have to think on this one.

You know Marie, you are right....hmmm... didn't want people to give away couples that happen later in the series. Oops. As for UF that tease, I love those too.

Like Mercy, Kitty does not happen until well into the series.  I'd put them much closer to UF, next to Jim Butcher.

How about Souless by Gail Carriger?  A steampunk addition to the list.

It says "possible spoilers" in the title.  If someone is worried about learning too much about a series they should not read this feed -  that is preferable to reading it and then complaing about the content that is clearly defined in the title.

But KJ- the orginal thread title did not mention spoilers.  That was added later.  (The OP has the option to edit the thread title.)

Thanks for having my back Emily!  :P

I still have a beef with people suggesting books to the OP and telling her who the couple is going to be????  Um...she has potentially not read them, why are you spoiling it for her?!?!  I certainly wouldn't say 'hey you should read Kitty b/c she and Ben are great togehter!"...kind of kills it don't ya think?

Marie, it was after your post that I put the "spoilers" up because I wasn't smart enough to realize that people might give away parts of the book when discussing couples, so I thank you. I caused enough trouble in the wishlist thread so hopefully, my little thread here won't cause any problems! You wouldn't know it by all the trouble I cause, but I'm a little ole innocent homebody that just needs a good book, a comfortable sofa and lots and lots of Diet Mountain Dew and I'm a happy camper! Maybe my alter ego is coming out on the forums!

Michelle a lot of my favorites have also already been said so I can't really add at this moment.  I'm sure I'm missing some so I'll have to go thru my books I've read list.  Did anyone miss Ilona Andrews?  She's great but its a book that might drive you crazy with the romance part.  Her newest series does have a resolution at the end.

Must mosey on over to see the trouble on the wish list thread.  Missed that.

I have to agree that if people are asking for suggestions on books you shouldn't ruin it for them.  It's like suggesting a movie and telling them how it ends.

How about these series for great couples (or even potential couples):

Delilah Street: Paranormal Investigator - Carole Nelson Douglas
Kate Daniels - Ilona Andrews
Dead Series - Tate Hallaway
Megan Chase - Stacia Kane
Blood Lines - Maria Lima
October Daye - Seanan McGuire
Tales of an Urban Werewolf - Karen McInerney

I really did not like Carole Nelson Douglas.  Expected much more from her based on her other books.  Kinda feel like she was told to write paranormal rather than wanting to.  I would not include her in that list.

I'm glad someone else went there first!!!  I actually typed a whole comment about Carole Nelson Douglas and decided against posting it.  It's probably the worse paranormal book I"ve ever read.

I got lost in the Carole Douglas Nelson Deliah Street books. Too many old movie references. If you are an old movie buff you would probably enjoy it.
