Well, there's 2 Elizabeth Chadwicks out there.  I'm familiar with the writer of historical fiction and she's one of my favorites - her books are always page-turners and are very well researched.

The other, and I'm assuming the one you're talking about is a western romance author and I'm not familiar with her work. :)

Echo Tonya.

I've read the William Marshall books - The Greatest Knight and The Scarlet Lion. I've also read Daughters of the Grail, Shadows and Strongholds and Lords of the White Castle.

They all are excellent.

I think you'll find it difficult to find these books used. That's because many of them were never sold in the U.S. Her loyal U.S. readers actually have to order them from bookstores in the UK or Canada.

The best source I found for buying her books new is The Book Depository (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk). It ships to the U.S. free of charge.

Oh.  But there are so many Elizabeth Chadwick books in the PBS system and then there are a whole lot that are on wish list.  Are they really 2 different authors?  I thought maybe it was that her old stuff was typical romance and her newer stuff was more historical fiction.

They're really two different authors - I assure you. :)  One is a pseudonym for Nancy Herndon.  If you want a breakdown of which-one-wrote-what, try my other favorite site (aside from this one):  www.fantasticfiction.co.uk
