She is having a book signing at a bookstore in downtown Denver. It would mean that I have to drag my husband and son with me because I won't take public transportation alone at night. I'm torn. What would you do?

I'd go but I'm not sure I would if my only way to go would be taking one of my kids and he'd have to sit in the audience. Is there any way hubby can drop you off and amuse your son for a little while at some place nearby?  I'm somewhat familiar with downtown Denver so I'm thinking the answer is "no" but it's a thought ....  :)  I guess it would really depend on the age of my son and the set up of the bookstore. Do they have a children's area that he can sit with his dad for awhile? Is he amused by books - enough to stay interested for an hour or so.

I haven't read any of her books but I I liked her I think I'd go for it! don't know your son's age though but can't blameyou for not wanting to travel alone at night...no  neighbor or anyone to go with you? I keep waiting for something near me like right downt he road when i"m off work since I've never been to anything like that.

I would be there!  I'd have DH take DS to the Children's section!

Oh,my!  Elizabeth George!  I would definitely move mountains to see/meet her!  I've read all of her books.  One of the few authors (post PBS) that I would actually consider buying the latest title new.  Did I mention I love her work?  LOL

Aw, I didn't get a chance to go. I had myself talked into it and then my husband had a meeting at work that kept him longer than he anticipated. :( I will get to see both C.J. Box and Craig Johnson this month though, so I'm not too upset. Really. I'm not. ;)
