Ok, just first a bit of a warning - the video involves her talking about a child/gay murder, so it's sad, but the video of Ellen is so worth watching - I'm so very proud of her.

That is absolutely heartbreaking, and good for Ellen for speaking about it on her show.  It needs to happen more often!

Mary - thank you for sharing that. What a sad, tragic, unnecessary story. Damn.  I'm glad that Ellen spoke out about it and spoke up for the GLBT community.

I'm glad Ellen discusssed it as the national news hasn't really covered it well.  Good for Ellen.

It's such a tragic story, that unfortunately keeps repeating itself in this country.  It's the saddest thing.

The city that he was murdered in is right next to my hometown.  I think she addressed the event beautifully.
