I received 6 Ellis Peters books in a bag of books from my sister - it seems like a series; anyone have any opinions/information about the books or author?  Debbie

Try them.  She wrote two series but you most likely have her Brother Cadfael books.

If you like historical mysteries, you'll like these.  I loved Brother Cadfael.  PBS (Masterpiece Theatre, I think) did the series a lot of years ago.  I actually met her at a book signing and have a couple of them autographed by her.

Yep, Brother Cadfael is the main character. I need to figure out if I have the "introductory book" in the bunch! Debbie

Oh oh oh! You are in for a treat! Those are probably my very favorite mystery series ever, definitely my favorite historicals. Ellis Peters is the author who got me hooked on historical mysteries. I have all those on my Keeper shelf and periodically re-read them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
