This book is the sequel to Stewart O'Nan's book "Wish You Were Here." This novel centers around the family matriarch, Emily, and details her life as a widow. The book is set approximately eight years in the future, and certain family members have aged. Having had the privilege of meeting Mr. O'Nan some months back, I could hear his voice reciting the words on the page. Nothing more exciting than an art festival or a funeral happens in these pages, and this novel is more a character study than a plot driven device, but still quietly enjoyable.
