Well, I just didn't "get" it. I consider myself average to above-average intelligence, but then again, who doesn't? Yet I must have missed the point on this one. I guess satire isn't really my thing.

I'm not a preachy-preachy, churchy-churchy person, but I am a follower of Jesus Christ who has read a little S. King in her day and comparisons between this book and some early King drew me into giving it a whirl. But, it did not fly. The writing is one-dimensional and whatever point the author is making is either above my head or irrelevant to me.

Disappointing to say the least.

Good writing, interesting plot - until the ending. I can only give the book 2 stars, due to the fact that the end of the book ruined the entire thing, at least for me. I don't like books that work for 200+ pages to a huge build-up - and then plunge into nothingness. For me, THE END IS NOW was a giant disappointment.
