For the second year, Cheryl (Spuddie) has been "in charge" of our Mystery/Thriller forum readers challenge.  As we get closer to the end of the year, I'm sure she will ask for suggestions (if she's willing to do it again.  I hope she is!). Some of yours are really good!

They are fine, although it's way too early for my brain to wrap around next year's yet. There's nothing that says I have to host it, someone else can do it if they want.

I agree it's pretty darned early to be thinking of January! Although interesting, some of these really aren't "challenging" enough -  I like to have my reading list expanded by more than just a title word, and the "hunt" is part of the challenge too. :-)

I enjoyed this year's challenge of finding a mystery set in the town, or at least the state, where I currently live.  Maybe we could do a similar one, with the mystery being set in the town where you were born (not so many people live in the town they were born these days).

Nice to have some different ideas, but I am enjoying this year's themes. The only one that I found to be difficult is the foreign-translated one. Don't really care for that one, as not interested in any of the books plus the difficulty of finding one.

Cheryl, I hope you do next year's challenge.  I have to agree with Tammy though, summer first please!

Finding a book located in a city where I was born will be difficult.  Small city completely surrounded by Detroit - the hospital was there.  Oh, maybe an Amos Walker - he lives there.  Okay, you can keep that one. :)

Tammy,

Good idea. I like the adventure of finding "new' authors.
