This book was one of the favorites in my sorority house. Virginia Henley does an excellent job of creating imagery of time travel to ancient roman times.

This was a total surprise. Given the age of the book, I didn't expect it to be as erotic as it is. Henley does a wonderful job of painting her heroine as a free spirit trapped in a restrictive society and coming into her own after she travels back in time to an erotic Roman era. I may have to read this one again.

If you love time-travel romance, then your going to love this one. Its so beautifully written and detailed, that at some parts I cried. And don't we all love a good cry? I recommend this book to anyone and hope they will like as much as I do.
