I've sent many books, too many. I've used up plenty of my postage money, for now.

What I intended to do was enter a new book that I finished reading today, then change it to 'on hold', until a week or 2 goes by.  Then I can afford to send out more books and I'd take it off hold.  Unfortunately, it looks like the book I entered was picked up by someone's wish list, and I can't put it on hold!  Now I'll have to cancel it once they indicate they want it.  That stinks!

Is there a way I can insert a new book onto my bookshelf, and have it start 'on hold'?  If not, um, there should be! :)

You can put your bookshelf on vacation hold then add the book to your list, put the book on hold while the whole shelf is on hold then recind the vacation hold.

Cool, thanks Elizabeth!

That'll work, but there really should be a simpler way... in the meantime, I'm very happy that PBS exists! Thanks!

You can also post books to your TBR.  THan when you're ready to post them-just go to the TBR listing and hit post this book.

But the best thing is to just keep your shelf on hold or wait to post books until you are ready to send them out.

Also you can try selling some credits if you have a lot of them.  I had a lot of WL audio books when I joined. So I earned a lot of credits fast.  A couple times I sold credits at $2.75-$3/credit in the book bazaar.  It helped cover postage.

why not just put your account on Vacation Hold and your WL books that you have credits for on Auto Request...

Or just set the book in a box under the desk until you are ready & post it then.

On SwapADvd, we are able to post dvds to our shelf with an option to place it on hold automatically.  I don't thing PBS has that but I believe it should.  PBS Team should look into that.
