I read this book for a Latin American History class. It looked boring, but I found it to be very fascinating. I am of Mexican heritage and I found stereotypes I had of my own people shattered. I was unaware of these stereotypes I held in my mind until I read this book. Be prepared to see Latin American history in a whole new light!
