I haven't posted here in a long time. Just wondering if any of you have read this book? I'm currently reading it and am finding it really interesting. It's a library book though, which is rare for me, as i have so many books to be read!

I haven't read it Jody..but my library has it so I just put it on reserve.   Glad you mentioned it.

I picked up a new true crime hardback from my library today..it is called ~While they slept~by Harrison...It is about an 18 year old boy that killed his Mom, Dad and sister because of abuse.  He left one sister alive

Nicki-- Thanks so much for the recommendation on While They Slept-- I was surprised to see it is by Kathryn Harrison. I read a memoir of hers called the Kiss. She's a very intense writer. Am looking forward to this!!

Hey Jody.. I finished While they Slept and it was OK but not one of my favorite books.  She writes a very different type of true crime book.  She weaves her life into it so it reads more like a memoir.  I didn't love it but it was a library book..so I didn't miss a credit for it.

Thanks for the review Nicki. It surprised me that she wrote a true crime since she usually does memoirs and contemp fiction. I like both those genres and this author so will be prepared for more of  a memoir.  I can see why you would be disappointed if you were expecting a good true crime book. Another book, called The Red Parts by Maggie Nelson read like a memoir, too.

I enjoyed Erased Jody.  I had read a book about almost every case she wrote about but one or two.  It was an interesting compilation of all these wife killers!!
