We loved this book! I read aloud it with my 3 kids ages 6,8,10. We laughed ourselves silly. Among authors, Avi is in my opinion, one of the best. He captivates his audience, spinning tales that are humorous as well as deep. Ereth is a loveable character in spite of his obvious character flaws. This story is one of both the cost of friendship and it's unexpected blessings.
All big brothers and sisters, and moms and dads will sympathize with Ereth - a grumbling old bachelor porcupine suddenly stuck with 3 silly fox cubs.
