I like author Jaid Black.  The Death Row trilogy is great.

If you are open minded, I would suggest Emma Holly mainly because her books are often times available through PBS. Many of the erotica books on here have a wishlist a mile long and they never seem to move. Jaid Black's books are on here too though from time to time.

I've read Emma Holly (at least I think so.) I'm more into Historicals although I don't have anything against other genres...as long as the story is good, I don't mind.

I liked Lisa Marie Rice's Midnight series -- pretty sure they are all wishlisted but definitely worth the read!

dang more books!! :-)

these are all probably wishlisted but here goes!

Lisa Marie Rice - Midnight series, Port of Paradise, Dangerous Lover(ends abruptly), reading Dangerous Secrets now, Woman on the Run wasn't my fave but it ws because of the storyline

Jory Strong - CrimeTells series 3 books so far and they're good! Lyric's cop, Cady's Cowboy and Calista's Men(2 men and 1 woman, permanent menage men only with her not doing each other)

Lora Leigh - Forbidden Pleasure - another permanent menage with 2 men and a woman, al her stuff I've read is pretty friggin' hot though lots of  domination

Lena Matthews - joker's wild series ' call me, three nights, and I think stripped bare is the 3rd (still reading this one)

ellora's caves' white hot holiday's has 3 volumes I think and are a variety of shorter stories by differnt authors..most were pretty hot

Charlene Teglia - I've liked the few I've read by her and have about 3 more int eh TBR pile - the 2 I read were anthologies of 3 stories that have characters who know each other at the beginning but dont' really cross over much into each other's story - wild wild west is one title.

and for straight sex without much of a storyline and no 'recovery' places you might like ryhannon byrd's 'against the wall (title really fits!) and triple play(another 3 some and lots of words and descriptins about swalling during oral sex - both for her and the guys - my frend thought this was freakin' hot but sorta made my stomach turn a bit)

Madame Charlie was pretty good.  Also LOVED the Lover & Gabriel's Woman by Robin Schone.  Be warned, however.  I would not call the Schone novels romance.  They are historical erotic thrillers and contain some disturbing scenes.  If you are very sensitive, you may not like them.

Some erotic books on my keeper shelf:

Nicholas: Lord of Satyr :: Elizabeth Amber

Raine: The Lords of Satyr :: Elizabeth Amber

Colters' Woman :: Maya Banks

The Lover :: Robin Schone

Passion (Berkley Sensation) :: Lisa Valdez

I've also read some Emma Holly and liked Fairyville and Menage. I traded them both but wish I would have kept Fairyville...oh well. I have a few more of hers in my TBR.

That's a great idea.  To share some of the  keepers we've found so far.  Some of mine are:

Elisa Adams:  Nothing Personal

Cris Anson:  Dance of the Seven Veils, Dance of the Butterfly  (Didn't like Dance of the Crystal and didn't keep)

Bufffi Becraft-Woodall:  Weremones

Maya Banks:  Colters' Woman, still trying to decide about whether to keep Brazen

Opal Carew:  Twin Fantasies, Blush

Dakota Cassidy:  Sexylips 66, Whose Bride Is She Anyway?

Portia DaCosta:  Entertaining Mr. Stone, Suite Seventeen

Lauren Dane:  Chased, Making Chase, Giving Chase, Taking Chase

Cynthia Eden:  Hotter After Midnight

Megan Hart:  Dirty, Broken

Joey W. Hill:  Virtual Reality, Ice Queen and Mirror of my Soul

Jasmine Haynes:  The Fortune Hunter, Show And Tell

Morgan Hawke:  Kiss Of The Wolf,  House of Shadows:Enchantment In Crimson

Emma Holly: All U Can Eat, In The Flesh, Personal Assets

Shelly Laurenston:  Pack Challenge, The Mane Event, The Beast In Him, When He Was Bad (I love her books but the older ones are hard to find and insanely expensive when you do, but they are apparently going to be reprinted in the next year or so, so Yeah!

Lora Leigh: Forbidden Pleasure, Wicked Pleasure,  some of the Breeds books Broken Wings (haven't read yet, someone said this one was different and more fantasy than erotica)

Sarah McCarty:  Promises Keep, Promises Linger, Promises Prevail, Caine's Reckoning, Sam's Creed

Michelle M. Pillow:  The Playful Prince  ( I think any of hers would probably be good but I find them hard to come by)  The next ones are published by Cheek and I'm not sure if classified as erotica but they are IMO very good reads, Bit By The Bug, Along For The Ride, Recipe For Disaster, Fierce Competition and my fave, Opposites Attract

Lisa Marie Rice:  Midnight Man, Midnight Run, Midnight Angel (yes, yes, YES!) Woman On The Run, Dangerous Lover, Dangerous Secrets

Robin L. Rotham: Alien Overnight

Shelby Reed:  Midnight Rose, The Fifth Favor, Love A Younger Man (Two books in this one, hers is A Fine Work Of Art)

Melissa Schroeder:  The Hired Hand, Grace Under Pressure

Jory Strong:  Lyric's Cop, Cady's Cowboy, Callista's Men, Sophie's Dragon

Kally Jo Surbeck:  She Blinded Me With Science Fiction

Charlene Teglia: The Gripping Beast, Satisfaction Guaranteed, Yule Be Mine, Catalyst, Love & Rockets,Wicked Hot

Sasha White: Bound, Trouble, Wicked

Annie Windsor: Throwback

edited because I always think of something else later

Actually, I read The Lover and thought it was blah...and I didn't find it that erotic or sexy. But that was my opinion.

I also read Passion - which I really liked.

I'm adding  a few of these books to my Top WL book for the August WL swap...let's see if I get one of them, LOL!

I've found erotic romance very hit and miss for me..there's just too many options and what I find exciting my friend finds 'blech' and vice versa.

I would definitely recommend Lisa Valdez's Passion.  IMO she does a great job with mixing a good storyline with the steamy love scenes (and I do mean STEAMY!).

Jaid Black: Her Trek Mi Q'an series is pretty good.

Kate Hill: Horsemen (shapeshifters)

Lora Leigh: Men of August (though I would only recommend this series if you are a bit open-minded...)

Cris Anson: Dance of the Seven Veils

Caine's Reckoning and Sam's Creed by Sarah McCarty.

I read purely historicals, and these are awesome. I agree with everyone about Passion by Lisa Valdez. But, it is one of what is going to be a series of three.... and she can't keep a dealine to save her life!

Boy is that the truth!  She has pushed it back what... almost 2 years now?  I HEARD (not sure I believe it) but that it will be released in Jan of 09.  Lets hope! I wanna read it!
