Robert (JackL) reviewed Escape from the Deep: A True Story of Courage and Survival During World War II on
A very interesting book. Follows the career of the USS TANG in WWII submarine action. She was the most successful US sub and was struck by one of her own torpedoes off the Chinese coast. Several men escaped the sunken submarine, survived and became POW's.
