While traveling home from boarding school Eugenia stumbles across a look-a-like for her cousin Gerry. Eugenia takes the ailing Richard under her wing and convinces him to pass himself off as her cousin. Things get complicated when Gerry is accused of murder. This is a wonderful light hearted romp by a master of the Regency genre. Clare Darcy takes on Georgette Heyer's Regency England with tongue-in-cheek humor and long, delightful sentences that take you racing through the storyline. If you're looking for a historical romance that is all character development without getting bogged down in bedroom scenes then this book should not disappoint.
