RWW writes characters that you want to know. The story lines are diverse, complicated, educational, funny and not all that predictable. I was given a RWW mystery as a "something to read" and enjoyed it so much that I only have 2 more to read in the Doc Ford series and 3 in the previous series written inder Randy Striker and I will then move on to the non-fiction.
I met Randy W. White in the parking lot of the "Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grill" on Sanibel Island, Florida just this month and he was a very cordial, friendly gentleman.

This is one of Randy Wayne White's earlier books. It was entertaining. Ex-SEAL Dusky MacMorgan lives in a stilt house in Florida. Temptation is being put in his way in the form of the young daughter of his old friend. She was sent to ask for his help. The Yarborough clan owns land way back in the Everglades and someone is trying to drive them off the land, while stealing from an old burial site. Will MacMorgan get the girl, and does he even want the girl? Will he persevere over guns, gators, and girls? We know he does but how is an entertaining story.
