Although I usually don't read small books too often, this one is a gem.at 258 pages. Well worth reading. Well written. WWII siege of Stalingrad through a very strange encounter. Fiction.

That's one of my favorite books I've read this year.  I work part-time at a Barnes & Noble and have it in our "Staff Recommends" section.

This was an excellent book that let me experience the siege of Stalingrad in a different way than, for example, Enemy at the Gates or the memoir of sniper Vassili Zaitsev called Notes of a Sniper.
