I just recieved a book request from Susan Higginbotham!!!  I about fell over!

For you who don't know, she is the author of "The Traitors Wife", "Hugh and Bess" and the forth coming "A Stolen Crown".

I'm such a nerd!

My husband sent the book request priority mail  (Silly boy) he knew how excited I was and wanted to take no chances.  Anyway the copies I have are older iUniverse and Onslow Press copies, the ones w/o the pretty ladies on the covers.  Well she is sending me new autographed copies of  "Traitors WIfe" and "Hugh and Bess" *SQUEALS*  I'm just blown away.  One of the coolest things thats happened to me in a long long time.

Hee hee...not nerdy at all. I'd be the same way about some of my favorite authors. I don't follow actors and musicians at all, but I do follow my favorite writers. Celebrities for readers!  :)

I would be totally stoked!  I've bought her books.  What did she order?

She ordered  "The White Queen"  By  Lesley J. Nickells,  it's been on my bookshelf since I joined PBS.  I also added a little note telling how much I loved her work and how tickeled I was to be sending it to her.

Squeal! How exciting!

She and I have posted on the same forums (including here)  and blogs now and then, and interacted in that way. but I'm sure she doesn't know me from Adam.

Wow, that's cool!  I wonder if there are other authors who are also PBS-ers?

LOL, Jerelyn. Susan's a cool person. I about fell over last week when one of my WL books came up and she's the sender. Big ole grin!

She's also one of the people behind Historical Fiction Online. You'll see her participate a lot there. She participates regularly on the Goodreads Richard III forum, too, which is moderated by Cathy (Misfit).

Small world, huh?

Genie,  I read (misfits) blog and Daphne's too. great sources for finding books, opinions that I trust.  I can't recall if I found out about PBS through Susan or Daphne, but glad I did.

I'm glad you like the blog Jerelyn.  I love doing it - the only down side is that it takes time away from reading!

I'd be excited too! I'd be absolutely insufferable though if she ever sent a book to me! I'd sashay about the forum, telling you all about the beautiful book that Susan sent to me, you know, Susan Higginbotham, the author....

Yep, you'd all have to toss me out to shut me up!

LOL. That reminds me that this week I got a book request from a "Lisa Presley" and had to look at the address real hard. But somehow I doubt she lives in WA state.
