This book is the winner of the 1980 Pulitzer Prize. It is a true story of Gary Gilmore, who in 1977 became the first person executed in the U.S. since the reinstitution of the death penalty. A chilling look into the mind of a murderer.

An in-depth look at the life of a famous murderer, Gary Gilmore. Fascinating, frightening, and insightful.
