If I set several or all of my expanded wishes of a title to auto request, and in the unlikely event more than one is granted at the same time, will I automatically receive more than one? Or will the system kick out the other requests for that title?
I remember seeing somewhere sometime that that there is a kick-out feature on something??!! But I think maybe that was without the auto request checked - not sure. If there is indeed a kick-out feature, then I might just put everything on auto request as I really do want all the titles on my wish list - but just ONE copy of that title!

IIRC Sherry, once one of the titles is accepted by a sender the PBS system automatically puts the other editions on hold.  If you do not change this setting, the other editions will be removed from your wishlist when you mark the book received.  I don't think auto-request changes how this works, only how the the first available edition is accepted by you.

If you wish to receive multiple copies of the book, there is an option to unhold the other editions.

Just for the info, depending upon your book they sometimes have different expander lists (at least one of the books on my WL has too different separate and unique expander lists both with 6+ books on each list).  I think this might affect which books are put on hold, but don't know (I haven't received any of those books yet).  For most books this isn't a problem though (they have to have quite a number of reprintings I think).

Good point T-M.  If the books are not connected in the system, the auto-safety feature could miss the unconnected editions.  So double check soon as the first edition is posted Sirry.

Thank you all for the helpful replies. Glad to know about the "hold" after the first grant.  I will still use auto request but will try to double check as soon as the first one is granted. Don't suppose that will happen except once in a blue moon! Also, it seems that if there many reprintings of a title, that there would be many copies in the system also - so no problem. Thanks again! P.S. Something that bugs me is when authors or publishers reprint a book and change the title!!!
