I could have swarn the last time I had to cancel a transaction it had a box to explain why. But not this time.  I had to cancel a WL book I posted because I accidentally made it unpostable.  I had to go to my transaction archive to pm the person.

I know one book that someone said they were a smoker so they couldn't send.  the last time I didn't get any info as to why so wasn't sure if they just left it blank or what!

It depends when you cancel. If you cancel an accepted request then there's no place to put a message to the requestor.

I tried to order a book and the sender misunderstood my conditions.  Now there doesn't seem to be anyway to get the book.  I can't pm the sender.  Bookswap won't let me reorder the book or even have it on my wish list.  I am really stumped.  It is the only copy of the book available.  I am fairly new at the bookswap game.  Any suggestions for what I can do.    Thanks.

I think PBS will let you put it back on your wishlist once that copy is requested by someone else - the system is trying to prevent an endless cycle of request and deny for the same book.

One way to get the book would be to arrange to have a buddy on the system order the book for you (you gift them a credit, they order the book and put your name and address in as the alternate address).

Why can't you PM the Sender, Janice?  Isn't the canceled transaction in your Transaction Archive?  If it is, then there should be a PM button.  I know some cancelations don't leave an entry in the Transaction Archive but I thought requests canceled because of Requester Conditions did. If nothing else Bret's suggestion is a good alternative.
