Hey there!

I noticed that a lot of you have those extra pics or clip art things added to the signature part of your profiles ... how did you do that? I understand how to add the photos, but I like the clip art and cute little glittery images lol Can someone tell me how I can get that onto my profile, pretty please!? I'd appreciate it, THANK YOU!! :)

Try going to your settings and add them to your signature lines like you did your avatar.  I don't know how - but I saw that's where it's done.  Maybe someone with expertise will hel soon!

Miss Zuzu,

I'm not gonna be a lot of help.  I have the blinkies but someone here created them for me.  The other pictures I have like Snoopy, the bunny and the Easter basket I found on the web by searching for avatars.  I copied them to a special picture folder so I wouldn't "lose" them somewhere on the computer...lol

I had a good time finding things that I liked.

Then go to the settings page under Forum Settings.  The first thing is Browse that's where I select the picture and enter the information.  Don't forget to hit update forum settings.  If you're doing more than one picture you do them one by one.  Well, I'm not that experienced at it so I do them one by one.

Would love to know who created your blinkies for you.  Have a couple I want, but can't find.

Ivy did my blinkies.  She was on the forum and offered to do them for any one who asked.  I don't know if she's still doing it.  I don't think I've seen her on the forums lately.

I just did a google for avatars - wow!  I found lots of places.  Then I put in Snoopy Avatar so you get a more specialized site.

Miss Zuzu I see you've managed to get some pictures in your signature.

Maybe we need blinkie how to instructions:

1) First find a blinkie by Googleing "blinkie"  or "blinkie cat" or "blinkie whatever"

2) Right button click a blinkie and select "Save Image As"
You have to remember where you saved it on your PC's hard drive

3) Login to Paperbackswap, choose Account/Settings and scroll down to Forum Settings
Here's a link to what it looks like http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6358/captureiww.jpg
Just click that Browse Button to go find the blinkie on your PC's hard drive

4) Click the Update Forum Signature button

5) Now go look at one of your forum postings while you are logged on

A couple of more thoughts about blinkies:

1) Only small blinkies are allowed in PaperBackSwap.  The large ones just don't load when you click Update Forum Signature.

2) Sometimes you find a blinkie that cannot be saved when you right click on it because the webpage has disabled right-button-click.  You can use a work around using your browser menu File/Save Page As.  This will save >>ALL<< the files from the webpage into a folder on your hard drive.  Then you have to search around in the folder to find the one file you are interested in.

Sorry, I got carried away with blinkie fun!

If a webpage has disabled right-button-click, doesn't that mean they don't want their work copied?  And isn't doing so stealing?  Or am I misunderstanding the reason for disabling righ-click?  I would think there's enough free art online to meet our needs :-)

Even webpages without  right-button-click may not want stuff copied.  I saw one website which was a collection from other websites and it said do not copy these.  When in fact, they were already copied by the website saying do not copy. Huh!

I'm not the one who will sort this out and make the Internet a safe and secure place (not my job).  I just told you how to copy them (knowledge is power).  But I didn't say you should copy them.  I think there's enough free art online to meet some ppl's needs :-)
