Kay Jamison has struggled with mood disorders her whole life and is a renowed Psychiatrist ,author and recipient of numerous awards. Her first book An Unquiet Mind was a brilliant piece of writing. In this book she talks about the passion that comes with a mind disorder, the idea that your life is dynamic and alive and how you balance the mania with the exuberance the awe with the depression. It is written more like a text than a novel but if you suffer from depression or are close to someone who does this will be a very helpful text for looking at the positives of the condition and not just as a problem
