Good enough to read again! Big words... detailed. Take this to a family get together to avoid them. Oops I mean your so ENTHARALLED by the book it is hard to put down to talk to them.

Aiming for another big hit after Degree of Guilt (LJ 12/92), Patterson returns to the courtroom, where an attorney fights to clear himself of the accusation that he murdered his lover's estranged husband because of an ugly custody battle.

Never really could get into it for some reason.

I absolutely loved this book. It was incredibly intense. I could not put it down!!

Very good legal thriller. The characters become so real. Patterson makes the characters members of the family. You can't help but feel the pain of the child. The emotions run deep. This book deals with child abuse so beware if this is a trigger for you...

I am a Richard North Patterson junkie - especially the political novels. This is a great courtrrom mystery, and really held my attention.

Holds your interest right up to the surprising ending.

I highly recommend this book, I have read it multipule times, it is one of those lawyer thriller books.

This book was very well written the way the plot comes together. The development of the characters make them realistic and believable to the point that you may begin to see through the eyes of a child.

A suspenseful murder mystery.

Patterson is not my favorite author, but did enjoy this book

A man is found dead with the gun still in his mouth. BUT is it really a sucide? Or could it be murder made to look this way? Many dark secrects will have to be exposed in the courtroom to decide this.

Was it a suicide or homicide? If you think the murder was suspenseful, wait until you read what happens in the courtroom

Have only read a couple of R.N. Patterson's books, but had no hesitation to add him to my "authors' list.

Richard North Patterson is a master of the courtroom and legal citizen. This story centers around a little girl and how her father took advantage of her, how her mother fought to save her, and her grandmother who protected here.

The story Eyes of a Child by Richard North Patterson is a intence murder mystery. The main characters are Terri Peralta, Richie Arias, Elena, and Christoper Paget. Terri is Elena's mother who is a divorced to her late husband Richie, who was murdered in his apartment by an unknown killer. Christoper is Terri's new boyfriend who helps her out with the case since they both work together as lawyers. The genre for this story is both horror and mystery because of the unknown killer. A major quotation in the story is when Terri yells, "'I didn't do it, why does everyone blame me? '" This affects the story because it is a turning part close to the end.

a nail-bitter that provides the thrill of a legal hunt

This is a very engrossing story of a suicide/murder? and an excellently crafted trial. The defendant is a wealthy, successful lawyer with political aspirations. His political opponents take advantage of the case to smear him, his son and his fianceé. It was difficult to put this book down.

This is another great book of Richard North Patterson's. Not as suspenseful as most of his others but still a wonderful read. Like many of his other books, a major piece of the plot is a sensitive subject. This time around it is child sexual abuse. Highly recommended.
