Two women are falsely lured to America with the promises of family honor, wealth and a photograph of a handsome suitor. Upon arriving, these women are dredged into prostitution. This story begins when they meet the man who's the face in the photos.

This is a slim book but with so many twists and turns, strong characters and plots. Over all, quite the intricate and comic Shakespearean tale of revenge.
