Typically wonderful Patricia Briggs. This is one of my all-time favorite couples, Anna and Charles, and I have been looking forward to the next episode in their romance with anxious enthusiasm. I wasn't disappointed in the least. Everything about this story was smooth, clean, rich, and interesting. I am not one who generally likes serial killer stories, but the other elements balanced it out. The witches, fae, and werewolf politics were great, too. Oh, and the ghosts. And the spirits. And Boston. A+++!

I can't say this is one of her "best yet"...it was a decent story, but overall I felt it dragged. Mostly I found is just plain old boring.

Not really any romance in this book, very little character development between Anna & Charles, and her serial killer mystery didn't do much for me. It was a good-enough read, but not a great one. The best part of this book were the last couple chapters when stuff really started to happen!

Her earlier Alpha & Omega works were WAY better, and her Mercedes Thompson series is better yet. Don't buy this one--wait for it in a trade...it's not worth $20 new.

A great entry in an amazing series! Charles and Anna are one of my all time favorite couples. "He taught me to rescue myself" is such a delightful attitude for a heroine. I enjoyed this so much, I read it, reread the other books in the series, and read it again. Can't wait to find out what will happen next.
