This is her 5th book, and despite my mixed feelings about her writings, I gobbled up her 5th book. Here are a few observations. She takes 100 pages to get to the point where she decides to write the book you are reading. I was glad she didnt bash everything she experienced, that tells me she is being honest and isnt just being cynical about everything, just for a laugh to sell a book. I really saw her grow in this book, and not just at the end. This book made me think about a few things and I cant say that the other books did that for me. Oh and yes, you will laugh off and on.

I dont watch reality tv (or tv actually)and the book was still enjoyable and understandable as she explained about some tv episodes.

She loves her pets and that is touching.

I am curious to see what she writes next. Does she have another book in her?

This is the latest installment in Jen Lancaster's LOL memoirs. In this one, she searches for meaning in her life and tries to become more culturally sophisticated and undertakes a "Jenaissance". What ensues is a hilarious diatribe about art galleries, theatre-going, wine & cheese tasting, and an expedition to try the world's cuisine. Followers of her blog (www.Jennsylvania.com) will find some repeated material here. I liked this better than "Pretty in Plaid", her previous book, but this one is good for some laughs.

Well, I couldn't wait on the WL line any longer and the library had it so I snatched it up! LOVE it! Love Ms. L too! I've had at the very least a little giggle on every turn of the page - sometimes I almost wonder if "I" didn't write this book. (of course she has the cahones to actually say the stuff I think out loud!)

This is also the type of book where you can read other books too -- read a chapter, read another book, read another chapter. Highly recommend - go get it, now! Go on, go!

What can I say about Jen Lancaster? Every book of hers, I have literally laughed out loud and I say this truly and honestly. Reading at home, during my lunch hour at work or on the treadmill, I have had numerous stares because I was found to be laughing and shaking - sometimes eye watering.

Her snarky comedy hits the spot. I definitely believe that she can describe experiences with honesty and a bit of oneupness - yep thats a word! I find that when I am reading her book, I think YEP thats how I would have reacted with rats running across my floor and the dog just starring thinking its a new play toy. (This has not happened, but Miss Charlotte has a keen eye for finding flies, making friends and accidentally swallowing them. The sad eyes come when she can't find it anymore.)

I would recommend this book to those who love dry, snarky humor and a fun read. The stories and situations that Jen ends up in are just beyond funny.
