Search - My Fair Succubi (Succubus Diaries, Bk 3)

I usually don't do reviews for books that are later in a series. Why? Nothing I say will make you pick up this book, you might be interested in starting the series but usually a reader doesn't just decide to pick up book 3 in a series when they haven't read it before. Likewise, if you stopped reading the books in the series, nothing will convince you to start the series back up again.

On that note, I have to give props to Jill Myles. 1) her books are getting better as the series moves along. My ratings are getting harder as I become more judgemental and cynical so even though I rated book 1 and 2 highly, book 3 is actually the best of the bunch. 2) Her books are funny. I laugh out loud (no you don't get me to do a "lol"). I like when a funny book is actually funny.

I cannot believe how many good reviews this has gotten on Amazon. Its just horrible, the hero Noah pretty much rapes the heroine AND I'm supposed to believe the Archangel Gabriel would actually just stand back and let an ex-angel, Sermin (???) council member rape someone??? Please. Total waste of my time, I'm really glad I didn't pay money or credits for this.

I am not sure exactly how I feel about this book. After a year long wait for this book to release, I feel like ive been cheated. The characters are finally established and Jackie is no longer the naieve deer-in-the-headlights succubus. There were no crazy over the top adventures. This book just didnt have the same fun feel as the first 2 did.

In a nutshell, The Angels want the Joachim-Arc/halo, and the vampire queen wants the Arc. The angels arrested Jackie and Noah with rediculous charges, and gave Jackie a choice: return the Arc or bear them a child. The vampire deal is to return the Arc, or they destroy her friend Remy.

In all honesty, i didnt really enjoy this book as much as the first 2. The sex scenes got old after a while, as well as being on the same storyline of finding the Arc.

The ending was left open for a 4th book, and I was happy with the choice Jackie made between her 2 lovers.
