Tyra, meanwhile, has plans to renounce her birthright and join the Varangian Guard in Byzantium; she's a serious fighting machine who has little interest in marriage, but her four younger sisters are forbidden to marry until she has either wed or left the country. The verbal and physical sparring between Adam and Tyra is delightful, and Hill's (The Blue Viking) secondary characters including Adam's single-minded Arab friend, Tyra's scheming sisters and an accident-prone orphan boy provide comic relief. A singular blend of humor and romance, this breezy read will appeal to fans of Viking romances as well as mainstream historicals.

It is good, just I don't like the characters.

Tyra, Warrior Princess... She was too big, too loud, too fierce to be a good catch. But her ailing father had decreed that her four younger sisters - petite, mild-mannered and beautiful - could not be wed until Tyra consented to take a husband. Alas, with no suitors begging for her hand, it looked as if the sisters would all be virgins, pinning away on a Norse vine. Adam, Medieval Physician... And then a journey to save her father's life brought Tyra face to face with Adam the Healer. A god in human form, he was tall, muscled, perfectly proportioned. This was the physician who could cure her father, and the lover who could finally seduce her to his bed furs. When Opposites Attract...Or Not... Too bad Adam refused to fall in with her plans. Holy Runes! What was a lady to do but truss him up, toss him over her shoulder and sail off into the sunset to live - and laugh - happily ever after.

This book was so fun. Picked it up and couldn't put it down. Many times throughout the book, I found myself laughing out loud. Tyra, Viking Princess Warrior needs Adam, a Saxon healer to come help her father. She kidnaps him and they come to an agreement that he'll help her father for one night with her in his bed. From Britain to the Norselands to the Byzantine empire, this book is fun, sexy and amusing. Great primary characters and fun secondary ones. You needn't have read the previous books to get this one. Is a good stand alone if you want it to be. Highly recommend this one.
