If you're a Red Sox fan, you must read this. If you're a baseball fan interested who wonders about the crazy "Red Sox Nation", you must read this. If you're a Yankees fan, probably not. If you hate baseball, don't even consider it.

After being a faithful Red Sox Nation member for 40 years, the winning of the 2004 World Series was a dream come true. Not if you are a Yankee or St. Louis Cardinal fan however. As such I read just about any book or magazine about this great win and season I could get my hands on. This book was one of them. It was a true rendition of the season and I enjoyed reading it very much. I unfortunately found myself wading through way too much extremely foul language. If this hadn't been about the Red Sox I would have tossed the book after two chapters. The story was so great it did not have to be laced with obscenities. I read it once, but I would never do so again.

For when the SuperBowl is over. And you have a few weeks until pitchers and catchers report to camp. Relive the 2004 season. O'Nan is a very boring Dan Orsillo to King's Jerry Remy. And I must admit to skipping over a lot of O'Nan's writing. But King's insightfulness made the book worthwhile.
