From the back cover: The riddle- Who hated Sarah Covington enough to frame her for murder? Or were the secret ingredients in the caterer's gourmet meals the way she disposed of her enemies?

The romance

It was Daniel Dubonet's job to get close to Sarah. And the sexy maverick agent was good at it--until he discovered she was a sultry Southern belle...with a twist. Sweet as honey in his arms, but sas potent as red-hot pepper whenever he mentioned her shadowy past.

The remedy

While Daniel played his hunches by day and Sarah by night, another detective stalked Washington's streets--at the request of the First Cat himself! But could Familiar, the crime-solving cat, sniff out the solution to this poisonous case in time to heal a broken heart.. or worse?
