I really enjoyed this book. Revolving around an Australian family and their family-owned travel business, each character had their own distinctive voice and plot. A little bit of romance, a little bit of suspense...I breezed thru this one because I couldn't put it down! I am goign to make an effort to track the rest of Mcinerney's titles on PBS.

This was a wonderful book! You get to read alot about the seaside in England, and a little town in Australia. Gives some insight into what it's like to be a "foster" child to those with other children.

I tried to read this book but just couldn't seem to get into. Maybe it was my mind set but I found it confusing and I really didn't care about the main character or her problems. I have a rule of 100....and it didn't pass that rule. The rule of 100 says that if I am not interested in a book by page 100 I decide that the book is not for me. I gave up and evoked the rule of 100.

great Aussie novel. i liked the characters
a lovely story.
An interesting story. Little slow but then the characters start to build you get right into the book. It would be a good read for a book club.Worth the time to read this one.I will want to read more by this author. Kind of book that makes you feel good at the end.
