This was an enjoyable romance with some psychological undertones. Like most books I read, it was an easy read.

Social worker Rachel Filmore breaks all the rules when she's sent to evaluate whether Mac Edwards, her former high school love, should have his daughter taken away from him. When she learns the previous social worker was wrong and Mac is doing all he can to help his daughter, Rachel becomes involved with him. Can they figure out what's bothering his daughter before it's too late? Molly O'Keefe's Family at Stake (4) is an interesting story with a plot that will easily hold reader attention. Her depiction of a troubled teen is spot on.
