Good romance series... quick and easy read.
A Widow and a Bachelor, February 17, 2001
Reviewer: "izzyfree" (New York) - See all my reviews. "Elizabeth Burke is the owner of the store Fantasy, she has two kids and her husband has been dead for 2 years. Thad Randolph is a bachelor who lives next to Elizabeth. He moved into his house about the time after Elizabeth's husband was killed. Elizabeth and Thad never really said anything to each other except for the occasional hellos. This all changed when Elizabeth rescued a cat from the tree and ended up getting stuck on top of the tree. Thad kind of saved her by guiding her down. Elizabeth and Thad then begins to get drawn together partly because of Elizabeth's kids but also something else because they always happen to see each other. But then there are obstacles for them to overcome, like Elizabeth's fear of people gossiping about her and Thad, Thad's bachelorhood and all these other issues.
I think Fanta C. is kind of mild, compared to Adam's Fall. Too bad I read Adam's Fall first because it goes after Fanta C. and it kinda killed some of my interest. (Adam's Fall is Elizabeth's sister's story about her love life) But all in all, Fanta C isn't bad. There are sweet parts and parts that I think Elizabeth is being too much of a prude. I rate this book about a 4.5
This book was so good I read it in one day.
Great book and quick read.
This is a quick easy read. There is just enough romance and spice to be exciting but has a GREAT storyline as well.
The story of a widow who runs an elegant boutique. Then a man right out of her most intimate fantasies steps into her life, and she knows that she must decide whether to hold onto the past, or let go and risk loving once more. Masquerading as a kindly neighbor, Thad Randolf cannot keep his mind or his fantasies off the pretty widow next door, Elizabeth Burke.
The children of a young widow lead her to a new lease on life as they bring their studly new neighbor into their world.
Widow Elizabeth Burke spends most of her time running her elegant boutique and being a mother to her two young children. She has only tiny bits of time here and there to make up incredible, erotic fantasies that her sister, Lilah, thinks should be published. Will single, attractive, neighbor Thad Randolph, brought into her life through her children, adds a new dimension to Elizabeth's world?
