My son gave me this book, because he knows how much I enjoy reading about motorcycles.
Even though this is the first Neil Peart book I have read, it will not be the last.
Each chapter in this book is an individual story in and of itself. Niel reflects on his life experiences and lays out his philosophical beliefs. There are a lot of great quotes contained in this book, but my favorite is the phrase he used to describe a certain well known political figure, who he refers to as "... (a)professional muckrucking malcontent in a bad suit." I'll let you learn who that character is.
Anyway, it's little quotes like this that kept me reading this book. But I must be honest, there were three chapters that I only glazed over (read a few paragraphs and looked at the pictures).
If you are even remotely interested motorcycles or the inner most thoughts of rock band drummer, you'll like reading this book.
