Maybe if I had read the previous books I would have liked it more.

One of the Kate Jasper mystery series. A wonderful cozy mystery series set in Marin County, CA. In this one, Kate takes a cooking class and gets mixed up in murder. A great series; one of my favorites.

Kate Jasper's been on the edge ever since her significant other's meddling mother moved in. So she decides that getting out of the house for a vegetarian cooking class will be good for her mental and physical health. Then there is a murder, someone at the school is choked to death ... and the police suspect Kate's friend Barbara. Now she has to find a killer before the killer finds her.

Sisters in Crime said "Smar, funny. One of the most appealing characters I've met in recent mystery fiction." It's a nice satisfying cozy.
