Okay.  Now, we all have authors that we love and series that we adore, but who are your top 2 absolutely favorite paranormal authors, can't live with out, dying for the next book to come out because you've read everything they've ever written like 30 times already. (slight exaggeration)

Sadly enough, I have to think hard about this one, even though I'm the one asking the question...LOL I just think it's an interesting topic.  For sure Kresley Cole is my absolutely #1 Author.  I love, love, love her writing.  But #2 is a little tougher.

Lynsay Sands is my #1...I don't really know who my 2nd favorite is right now.

Eileen Wilks.  Then it gets harder.  Wen Spencer?  Patty Briggs?  Nina Kiriki Hoffman?  Argh.

Ilona Andrews and Patricia Briggs

Laurell K Hamilton used to be my top fav's also but I haven't been feeling her last two or three books.

I just started collecting Eileen Wilks Lupi series based off a short story of hers I read and really liked. Glad to hear she's a favorite. Just waiting for the first in the series to come in the mail so I can start them (I have the second and third waiting in the TBR).

Her female leads are slightly older and are strong and centered.  Not overwhelmed by Alpha males.  The books are more romance and less UF, as expected by an author who started with Harlequin.  But I keep going back to the Lupi books.

Nalini Singh and  second?  Patricia Briggs?  Rachel Caine (Morganville books) ?  Kresley Cole?

I'm also collecting Eileen Wilks based on a short story.  Maybe it's time to read the now.

Briggs is my favorite. Theres a multi way tie for 2nd...Andrews, Murphy, Armstrong, and too many others to name! The Wilks Lupi series moves more to UF and very little romance as the series progresses. I like the later books better!

Kerrelyn Sparks & Lynsay Sands (though the last of Lynsay's weren't as good IMO)

There's so many series I LOVEEEE and can't wait for, but as for the authors, not so much.  Like I absolutely love the Sookie Stackhouse series and can't wait to read them, but as far as Harris, I don't much like her other work.

I would probably have to say J.R. Ward.  I love her writing style and can never put her books down.  I'm also a big Gena Showalter fan, but have a ton of books of hers on the shelf that stll need to be read.

Patricia Briggs, no doubt, and 2nd would be L.A. Banks right now, but probably only because I'm in the middle of the Vampire Huntress series and LOVING them. Close behind, though, would be Katie MacAlister and Gena Showalter.

Wow, tough question.  I really like Maryjanice Davidson.  And I agree with Kim about the Sookie books...they are great, but haven't liked much else by Harris.  Not sure who my second fave would be.

Patricia Briggs, I saw Bone Crossed on display in book store and this was the book that got me interested in paranormal, I had never read any prior to this book.  Then I went back and read all of her books.

I also am very loyal to J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts the "In Death" series, which are the only hardcover books on my keeper shelf.  I buy those as soon as they come out.  This would probably be considered futuristic, or science fiction however, not paranormal.

Laurell K. Hamilton is the only paranormal author where i always buy the new book as soon as it comes out.  i also re-read the prior one (or sometimes more) shortly before release, and make sure i have a clear chunk of time to sit down and read the new one without interruptions.

Jim Butcher is also up there, but i have no room for more hardbacks so borrow the hardbacks from the library (and starting about a month before release stalk the website until they finally order it so i can put my name on the list) and then get the paperbacks for my keeper shelf when they come out.  i was buying them, but i strongly object to the new oversized paperbacks he's doing now so i'm on the WL instead of buying new.

Charlaine Harris is similar, but definitely behind, Jim Butcher.

Rachel Caine - those i can't wait for and will end up buying new unless i get in the top few on the WL.

Karen Marie Moning based on my addiction and craving for her Fae series--I'm happy and depressed that the next book is the end!

Love to laugh so Shelly Laurenston for her Pride and Pack books--GA Aiken's Dragon series for the laughs too.

Illona Andrews is awesome too.

It would be much simpler to name who I don't like I think:lol:

I also loved Laurell Hamilton earlier in the Anita Blake series.  I still read the books, but am not thrilled with them...
