Who is your favorite hero?  You know the one.  The one if you ever met you would leave your husband for.   LOL  Mine would have to be Jamie from Outlander (Diana Gabaldon) or Ruark from Shanna (Kathleen Woodiwiss).  Oh, and Jake from Sweet Lullaby (Lorraine Heath).

Ruark from Shanna was my all-time fav for years & years, and he'll always be on that list.  I will also always love Dain from Lord of Scoundrels, Griffyn Renaud de Verdelay from The Last Arrow by Marsha Canham, Stuart Somerset from Delicious by Sherry Thomas, Justin from Bridal Favors by Connie Brockway, Michael from Wild at Heart by Patricia Gaffney, Julian from Duke of Shadows, Sebastian from My Beloved by Karen Ranney, Thomas from Winter Garden by Adele Ashworth, Judith Ivory's heroes, Sam Cody from The Indiscretion, and Stuart Aysgarth from Untie My Heart.  Oh - and Christian from Flowers from the Storm.

Shoot, I've got a bunch of favorite heroes but the one that comes to mind first is John Huntington from Lisa Marie Rice's book: Midnight Man .

Oh yeah, I forget about Kit because it's been so long since I read that book, but he is totally hot:P  That one is my favorite of the Rose Hunters trilogy.

Definitely Jamie from Outlander.  Possibly Young Ian (when he gets a little older) from the same.  Also Mike from Whispering Rock (Robyn Carr), Brodick Buchanan from Ransom (Julie Garwood), Sigimor Cameron from HIghland Conqueror (Hannah Howell) and definitley Aiden Cross from Pleasures of the Night (Sylvia Day).

Wow, you ladies sure toss out tough questions - so many hunks, so much panting......

Dain, from LORD OF SCOUNDRELS is up there; Ben Lewis from Linda Howard's HEART OF FIRE - though he seems too un-tameable; he's all man, rough, tough, sexy, almost too much man to see him settled & married. But I've been in lust with him for years.

A recent favorite hero is Will Bonner from Susan Wiggs' JUST BREATHE - a truly really-nice-guy who takes on more than many men can handle and comes out of it a true hero man; also Jack Rafferty from Kristin Hannah's ONCE IN EVERY LIFE - a Civil War veteran suffering with nightmares and the idea he has gone mad, married to a real b**ch, and the family is given a second chance with a 20th century woman thrown back into his life in the 19th century.

Another honey is Patrick O'Casey in Sandra Canfield's NIGHT INTO DAY - a pro football player hero, fragile heroine; what a guy. I love all of Canfield's books.

So many others, though, through the years. Dwayne from the Jane Kelly mysteries - not quite the "hero" of the books but he's the main male protagonist and you just KNOW they're going to get together somehow, some way (if she ever writes more in the series); he's a good-old-boy with a laid-back sense of humor, a deeper-thinker than Jane thinks he is.

I've been wanting to make a list of books with favorite heroes.  I can only remember loving Troy Tatterton from Dark Angel (VC Andrews) for years.

I do remember liking a lot of the heroes you have all already mentioned.  I adore a lot of Suzanne Brockmann's men and it seems a lot of you already agree :-)

Ahhh...

My favorite hero of all time, hands-down, is Jamie, for sure. (Outlander)

Dain might come in a distant second (Lord of Scoundrels). And third might be just about every one of Laura Kinsale's heroes!

Roarke (In Death series) is dreamy too. Sigh.

Maya Banks's next book, Sweet Persuasion, has a fantastic hero. Damon. Ahhh... I was lucky enough to get an early read.

I have to say I'm loving Garrett right now, too (from the upcoming A Hint of Wicked). Hopefully readers will too.

She does write some good ones, doesn't she?  I left him off the list - for which I should be flogged:P - but I absolutely adore Ruck from For My Lady's Heart.  I'd open up a vein for that guy:P

I still haven't read For My Lady's Heart.   I think that that I am intimidated by it being written in Middle English and that Iwill have a hard time with it.  I should just pull it out and give it a try.

Raphael from Out of the Dark by Sharon Sala.

He's actually a secondary character in this book, but he steals the show, bar none.  Forget the hero or the heroine...if you've read this tear-jerker of a romance novel, then you know what I mean.  He was raised in some cult with the heroine, both childhood bestfriends who were abused as child prostitutes.  And their absolute love for each other is something that is out of this world, unbelievably beautiful, pure and heartwarming.    The things he does and goes through for the heroine is heart wrenching.... OMG this book had me sobbing.

After this book, I ordered like 6 books by  Sala, every one of them has been bad (of course) LOL....but this one is a keeper.

Drew Hammond from Beyond Compare by Penny Jordan.  I've been in love with him for almost 20 years...  (It's a Harlequin Presents, #1282, from July 1990).
