Who's your favorite Vampire???? All of Anne Rice's Vamps, Jean Claude-Laurell K. Hamilton, Spike-Buffy. My daughter was addicted to this show for years. I liked him when he was mean. I just started reading "Dead Witch Walking and I'm sure I'll like the vampires in this book. Post your fav. I'm hoping I'll get some new titles I haven't read yet.

In all of Anne Rice's books, Marius and Merrick  were my favorite vampires. Actually, if I ever had another daughter I would name her Merrick. I also liked both Angel and Spike from BTVS. Other than those, I don't recall any other stand-out vampire characters. However,I will say that my favorite werewolf has always been Michael Gallatin in Robert McCammon's The Wolf's Hour. He is a very human and good character who controls his wolfishness (is that a word? lol) and not the other way around. He was also a spy for the allies in WWII and ends up infliltrating the Nazi regime. It is a fascinating book, incredible attention to historical detail, an incredibly complete and human character, horror and a spy novel all in one.

This is such a hard question to answer for me. I seem to like a lot of vampires :)

Have to say, I do like Don Henrie as well...and he's not a character in a book...If you happened to watch Mad Mad House a few years ago on the Sci-Fi channel, they had 'normal' people living with a naturalist, a witch, a vampire and a couple others, I believe.

The more I read the Anne Rice novels, the more I like Lestat.

I also like Dracula from the movie Dracula 2000.

I also like Louis from the Anne Rice novels, Marius, Pandora.

:)

Don Henrie is a real vampire he isnt in a book. He was on the Scifi channel reality show Mad Mad House and has been in several documentaries about the "real" vampire culture.

I've read a lot of vampire books, but there are some stand-outs. First is George Smith from Theodore Sturgeon's *Some of Your Blood*. He's not so much the dark fantasy vampire sort, he's more a twisted psychological specimen. Another favorite, probably also because he's not in the dark/sexy/brooding mold, is Con (Constantine) from Robin McKinley's *Sunshine*. Oh how that book cries out for a sequel! Don't get me wrong, dark and sexy is also very yummy... -But after you've read Rice and Hamilton (and Harris and Sizemore and on and on), they start of blur together. OMG! I forgot to mention my all time favorite vamp. I love love love Drusilla from Buffy *squish*. She's just so wonderfully tweaked! Ethereally beautiful, sad and funny, and very naughty *grin*.

My fave of all time would be Armand from the Anne Rice vampire chronicles. I also like Kisten from the Kim Harrison books, and Damian from the LKH books.  As for female vampires I like Pandora from the Anne Rice books and Betsy from the Mary Janice Davidson books. I would looove to be vampire Queen! lol

That's a tough questions...I have to agree w/ Jean Claude/Asher, Edward Cullen and Eric.  By reading this thread I think I have a bunch of reading to do in the vampire genre....many I haven't read yet!

I loved Buffy...one of the best shows of all time IMHO.  As much as I had a huge crush on Angel and Spike at one time ...there came a point in the series where they were just ruined for me.  But Druscilla...as much as I "hated" her....she was an incredible vampire!

I am currently working my way through the Anita Blake series, so for now I have to say Jean-Claude and Asher.

Anne Rice got me hooked on the vamps, though.  She had some great characters.
