Something strange is happening in Moonlight Bay. Something unleashed by the now closed military base. Something that makes the animals not quite animals. Something that makes the human not quite human.
If you like Koontz, You'll probably like this book.

This is my all-time favorite book! Dean Koontz is a master storyteller. The only drawback was I missed the characters (especially Orsen) at the end and it was hard to get over to find another book that could compare. If you like scary books, this is an excellent read-if you like a riveting story, this is an excellent read! If you are a dog-lover, you'll be especially pleased:)

Dean Koontz has interesting charachters, and like Odd Thomas, the protagonist Christopher Snow has an interesting voice and an even more interesting life. What starts off seeming to be a murder mystery quickly develops levels of revelations that are frightening and fantastical. I enjoyed this book as the reader is with Chris (and Orson his dog) without those glimpses into the mind/minds of those opposing him. This is a charachter I'd like to read about again, and I am betting you will too.
