We have a winner! I placed everyone's name in a hat and had my son pull the winner out.

The winner is -  Sheila M.  Congratulations!! PM me with your address and I'll have the book on the way to you ASAP. I hope you enjoy it! :-)

I'm also sending a credit to the person who read the most at 987 pages - Daphne!

The first mini-challenge-

How many pages can you read in a week? On Tuesday, start keeping track of how many pages you read each day, and post the total here, in one week. You'll need to post by next Tuesday, at midnight.

I'll pick a random winner. The prize is an ARC of the book "The Sealed Letter" by Emma Donoghue  -  http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780151015498-The+Sealed+Letter

Cool!  I'm in, but I'm doubtful of my chances of success given Michelle's long flight!  LOL!

So are we posting cummulative totals daily so as to make it a horse race?  LOL!  I could see it now - plenty of DHs, children and significant others calling for their dinners, houses in complete disarray, friends neglected, sick days being taken from work - all in the name of trying to be the HF-er who read the most in one week!  LOL!

Well we all know Valli is going to win this one since she has a bazillion of those ILL books to read before they're due back :)

Well, I just realized that it isn't necessarily a high number that's going to win.  Valli says she's going to pick a random winner, so I guess we all stand a fair chance, all we have to do is participate!

Kelly - Oh, no!!  We're certainly not heifers around here.  I prefer H F ers.  As in the letters followed by the "er."  LOL!

Yep, I decided to choose a random winner to give everyone an equal chance to win. Plus, I didn't want any of you to abandon your children or your jobs to read more pages so you could win a book. :-D

I'm keeping track of my pages, even though I won't be sending the prize book to myself. I think I'm going to have a huge number of pages read by the time the week is up! The ILL's won't stop coming...!!!! Aargh.

Post your totals by midnight today!  I'll announce a winner tomorrow morning. Anyone who has been keeping track of their read pages this past week can post their total and be eligible to win the book.

Will you all help me keep this topic bumped up today so everyone will see it and remember to post their totals? Thanks!

Hi Valli:  I have read a total of 500 pages.  Do you need them broken down by day?  I kept track that way too if you want it.

Ummmm - 95. Just 95. Wouldn't you know it, I haven't been in the mood to read for a week!

I finished A Crowning Mercy and haven't read anything since. I won't be hurt if all of you want to point and laugh at me! ;-)

BTW, Valli, you do not have to put me in the drawing. I already have a copy of The Sealed Letter. Although it would be funny if I were to win with my paltry page count!

I'm going to see Alison Weir tonight at the Tattered Cover in Denver. Hopefully, that will spark the desire to read again! Daphne (Tanzanite) is going to meet me there!
